Students have been learning to use Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to improve the look of their websites. Websites are starting to look much more organized and detailed!
Web Design took their HTML coding outside to enjoy one of the few wonderful days left of the year! This really checked their comprehension, as they weren't able to "test" their code like they can on the computers!
This was done at the beginning of school. Students worked in groups to create a marshmallow structure. It had to be free standing, and the whole marshmallow had to be at the top. The goal of this project was to remind students to TETO: Test Early, Test Often! In code, one tiny error can ruin the whole page!
Today my Web Design students had the first assessment of their learning! They completed a "drag quiz" for HTML coding. They are catching on so well!Web design students are beginning the basics of HTML coding. We began by creating an "HTML man" and are now starting to code our own websites! We also did a graffiti walk on digital citizenship.
